MAMARONECK, NY – Derecktor Shipyards is excited to announce Erik Derecktor's appointment as New Construction Commercial Manager.
Erik grew up in the New York yard, working alongside Derecktor's master craftsmen and learning an appreciation for the care and effort put into each build. He brings a fresh perspective to the team, with eight years of diverse maritime experience, including operating U.S. Navy submarines, developing carbon removal products and future fuel commercialization.
"I'm honored to take on this opportunity and responsibility," Erik said. "I'm excited to learn from the team and support their high-quality craft. Standing on the shoulders of generations of boatbuilders, we look forward to continuously improving our work and consistently delivering for our customers."
As New Construction Commercial Manager, he will be responsible for new build product development, sales, estimating, contracting and customer service across all four yards and all vessel sectors.
