It began in Mamaroneck, NY. It was here in 1947 Bob Derecktor that set up shop with a dream and a handful of talented people. In the years since, the town and the yard have changed along with the world at large. The many famous New York boatbuilders are gone. Save one. At Derecktor, we carry on in the same spot and in the same spirit, building and repairing vessels of all types while adding to a history of innovation unmatched in American boatbuilding.
